Every once and a while, we are met face to face with one of life’s curveballs. Thus, always should we demonstrate resiliency and caution in the face of calamity or otherwise.
On July 25, 2011, a female stripper leaving her club was rear ended at 3:00 in the a.m. at the intersection of I-40 and Danny Thomas Boulevard in downtown Memphis, Tennessee. Upon exiting her car to exchange insurance information, the victim (who wishes to remain anonymous) was greeted with a handgun. The assailants of the latter car, one male and one female, robbed her of her money and dance bag.
Amber Jackson, the female assailant, was arrested and is charged with aggravated robbery; however, her male accomplice is still at large.
May this frightful turn of events serve as a reminder for those of us who in the future are faced with similar circumstances. If you are ever involved in a wreck in a dark or otherwise questionable area, please make an effort to continue driving to better lit surroundings before exiting the car.
