Truck Driver Facing Serious Penalties

A tragic highway accident may result in serious jail time for a
tractor-trailer driver.
Ronald Eugene Graybeal, 50, has been charged for killing three
innocent drivers while under the influence of illicit substances.
While driving his tractor-trailer at 65 mph on Interstate 40, Graybeal
slammed into a pick-up truck, causing a chain reaction of death and
injury in a line of slowed traffic. John Paul Llanio, 38, of
Kannapolis; Barbara Boda Caldwell, 64, of Mebane; and Gary Dwayne
Smith, 45, of Burlington were all killed in the accident. Keith
Thompson, 49, of Greensboro, was hospitalized and treated for injuries
not considered life-threatening.
State troopers who searched Graybeal’s truck found methadone and
marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia. Reports have shown that both
Graybeal has exhibited a serious criminal history as a registered sex
offender and child abuser.
We at Ron Kim Law would like to extend our prayers to the lives lost
in this tragic accident.
