UPDATE-DEADLY CRASH WALNUT GROVE ROAD-SHELBY COUNTY-Houston High School Students-12/14/09

Two Houston High students heading east on Walnut Grove in a Camaro just east of Houston Levy lost control after passing and skidded into opposing lane of traffic into an SUV. Kimberly Smith the driver of the SUV is reported to be in stable condition at the Baptist Hospital. Shantwan Jackson, just 18 years old, a passenger in the Camaro died at the scene. The driver, Tyler Anderson was taken by helicopter to the Med. Our hearts go out to the family of the young man that was killed and those that were injured. They are in our prayers. Our son takes that same route to school everyday on the way to CBHS and went by the accident scene 5 minutes before it occurred. Unfortunately, investigators relate the accident to speed. If the speed of the Camaro was a factor Tyler Anderson may be at fault as a result of his  negligence. One of the most difficult things that a personal injury lawyer must deal with is working with those families that have sustained these horrific losses which can never truly be quantified into dollars.WMC Channel 5
